*EDIT*, these are subtitles, not scripts - but you can open them in a text-editor and see the lines of dialogue just fine. (I suggest using notepad++).

I'm pretty sure Naruto is one of the few shows that air with closed captions. If you can get hold of a raw transport stream (.ts file) of an episode you can extract the subtitles with a program called Caption2Ass.

I'ved managed to do this to get subtitles for the fairy tail anime. (You can find them on kitsunekko)

Thanks for the links and idea guys.
I was wondering if anyone has done it before and if they could post it.
I knew Naruto was in Closed captions but i never was able to activate them on my TV and its very difficult to find naruto with Japanese subtitles online if not impossible....
Raws are relatively easy to find but with subtitles.. ehhh!

If you are in Japan, if you get a tv tuner for your PC, you could record the transport streams yourself, and then extract the subtitles with Caption2Ass.
I get most of my raw's at http://nyaatorrents.org (when searching just select anime raw in the dropdown box to get rid of the subtitled torrents)

Yeah I don't have a tv tuner, but maybe I could get one. It's annoying getting each line from the show word for word into anki and sometimes its hard to hear exactly what they say.
I might try torrent, but.. i dont know how to work caption2ass, basically I'm lazy lol

It's not difficult, but you need to use it at the command line:
You can change the format from srs to ass if you like. Just be careful when downloading .ts files from torrents, sometimes they have the captions stripped out =( (Caption2Ass will just hang)
Code:
Caption2Ass.exe -format srt input_file.ts

randomkrazy Wrote:It there a place I can get Naruto anime episode Scripts in Japanese? I want to use this in Anki. There are anime groups that include japanese subtitles in their releases. AniDB.net tracks groups that release anime and a lot of information about their releases such as audio language(s) and subtitle language(s).
However, there is no files to download at AniDB.net which means you have to find them yourself. Once you have the files you will need to extract the subtitles, but there are plenty of guides if you search.
