"The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath" (Mark 2:27)
My interpretation for that has always been that Sabbath was meant to be religion itself. Religion is meant to serve man(kind), not man serve religion. A religion's purpose is to guide people into being better people. Not for the worship of religion itself. I think it is dangerous to take anything literal from ancient religious texts. Much less follow them with blind faith.
The Son of God had 12 disciples. Religions predating Christianity also had a Sun with 12 Zodiac disciples. Jesus taught with the two fishes in the age of Pisces.
"A man will meet you carrying an earthen pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he goes in"(Luke 22:10). Anyone ever notice what paintings of Aquarius resemble?
