anki mini is better (or ianki), basically you have complete control - the source (python), the data (sqlite). now if only i could get audio working on android, i would be in heaven.

Ughh I wish I had an iPhone.

Unfortunately iAnki lacks a lot of things. It feels like a small extension for the desktop version rather than a full blown mobile SRS.

Deathtrap, SmartFM is missing a lot of things as well (otherwise people would use it instead of anki). It depends on what you want I guess.

Man what I would give for an official Anki app for the iPhone...

Right, I would even pay 10-20$ just for a official Anki Iphone version.

While I won't touch this, I'll get it for my girlfriend (learning English). She doesn't like Anki since it doesn't have all of the various quiz methods of Smart.fm and is too complicated.

Personally I hate smart.fm since it takes so long to do reviews and you have no real control over it.

Thought about making a new thread but I figured this one was just as good so - BUMP.

Just thought I'd let you all know that the smart.fm iPhone app is live on the store. Even though smart.fm itself is down for maintenance the app is working fine.

Check it out. What do you guys think?

Oh cool the preview video is working now. It does have the advantage over iAnki by having media. Hmm...

Yes it does, I just tested it out. However, I can't get the offline mode to work correctly Sad The app just tells me that there is no network connection and doesn't let me see any of my lessons for offline usage.

!!!

No offline mode is awful. This app isn't for me then.

I am having a lot of problems connecting to the smart.fm services using the iPhone application. It also cuts out the music I am listening to after the song finishes.

It looks like I will be sticking with my favorite iKanji Touch ($) until I can find something better.
