Valeant benefici?

#1
I just finisihed Rtk 1 and I read somewhere that Heisig finishes Rtk 1 off with this Latin phrase:

Valeant benefici,
Poenas dent malefici!

Does anyone know which edition is appears in? I have third edition, 9th printing and can't find this phrase in mine.

Just curious as to what Heisig says when he uses that phrase ...

May those who do good be strong,
May those who do evil pay the penalty.

Any ideas on why this was chosen?

I thought it in the sense of "those who persevere will benefit". I vaguely remember this topic was brought once before. Search for "valeant" and be sure to set the last dropdown as "Show as posts".

I thought it was Heisig's way of saying he still knew a language that I didn't, raining on my 'just finished RTK' parade. What a jerk.
