Add kanji for review function ?

#1
In the section review how can I set a number of flashcards between two numbers?
Now I'm at 500 kanji and I can't spend 2 hours for day reviewing them(or more).
My plan was to always review the last 200 kanji every day and in the week-end reviewing all the kanji learned.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know exactlt either. But if you can't do 2 hours just do 1 hour and do the rest when you can. The important thing is that you do it everyday.

If you find that you are having a hard time reviewing all the cards but you are doing 40+ cards at a crack I would suggest toning it down a bit.

There's my two cents if you want it or not. Tongue

You can't do that yet Sad

You could log in to test.koohii.com (existing username or create a new one), add just the cards you want to review for the day ("Manage" tab), review that. Next time delete all (it's a test account), add another range of cards, etc.

How come you need 2 hours to review, when I'm on 562 and I only have around 40/50 cards to review a day? Did you add all 500 in one go? Or do you always review every single card and not just the expired ones?

Hi trusmis, you mean why isn't it published on the live site yet? I still need to fix the progress page to take in account the fact that you can add any range of characters. Then there are some deployment issues I have to solve, but yeah.. it's technically ready to move to the live site. I have some planned holidays early November where I hope to do this and also work on RevTH. *fingers crossed*

It would work better to review by box. On the review page, click the orange bar under "One Review" to review the expired cards with the shortest interval. Depending on how much time/energy you have and how many expired cards are in each box, you might want to do "Two Reviews" or possibly "Three Reviews" as well, but personally I've found "One Review" to be the only box that can't wait until the weekend.

Even below that it says 'Review all expired cards'. I always use that one, because it really gives you the cards from all boxes that are expired, in a random order. I do this every day and it takes me about 10/15 minutes (I usually have around 40/50 cards to review).

I wrote what I did because the OP seemed to be asking how to reduce reviews during the week and catch up at the weekend. And in that scenario, the expired cards in boxes to the left are more urgent than the ones to the right.

My cards are expiring at about 20-30 per day, and I don't exactly have a shortage of time; but I do have a shortage of energy, and I can seriously review at least 3 times as fast at the weekend for the same retention. 150 cards on Saturday is no big deal, while 30 cards on a weekday is a real drag. For the moment, I'm just trying to maintain, and any cards added are a bonus...
