Anki decks for anime?

#1
Hi,
Are there any Anki decks for:
- anime series like CHOBITS, or... MICHIKO TO HACHIN, COWBOY BEBOP, BASILIK, SAMURAI CHAMPLOO, DEATH NOTE...
- anime like MY NEIGHBORS THE YAMADA, SPIRITED AWAY...?

Being at the very first stage of learning Japanese and sharing my scarce free time between RTK1 and Pimsleur, I've decided not to even explore what subs2srs really is, but this soft may be more appropriate than an Anki deck?

Along RTK1 and Pimsleur, I would just like to be able to start doing real Japanese by spending 1 or 2 hour each week-end by watching the same anime over and over again, while SRSing sentences of that same anime. I'm targeting to do that with CHOBITS or MY NEIGHBORS THE YAMADA, but most of you advanced learners here certainly have a better recommendation for me?

Basically, you are looking for decks pre-made (possibly from sub2srs)? I would be interested as well. The few that I have seen seem ok upon inspection, but I have not used them. Seem to have too much content. I was thinking on cabbaging a few for later, and selectively prune the cards that look good. Dunno.

You're looking for this, I think.

There's some anime on there, and some dramas.

That link doesn't have enough on it IMO.

I've only played around with Sub2Srs a little bit but I know full well how to use it now and i've got subs to a few shows that would be great to SRS so I'll considering making decks of them. Problem is I have those shows on DVD and don't reallllly want to waste the bandwidth downloading what I already have but don't know if I can be bothered ripping them either! Although I'll do a test episode and see how I go and if it pans out i'll make a deck or two.

Decks I'm considering putting together are:
Anime:
Elfen Lied
Last Exile
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien 2nd Season
Spice And Wolf

Movies:
10 Promises To My Dog
20th Century Boys
My Girlfriend Is A Cyborg
Heavenly Forest

If anyone desperately wants these then let me know and I might just get round to it! I think movies are kinda better cos their faster to work through as a deck and the dialog is much better than Anime.

Last exile would be nice, I've actually seen that!

While not desperate for the decks, I would study them if they existed, then watch/rewatch the series above without subs. Smile

OK for any movie, except that I have a hard time finding "10 promises to my dog"...

You mean the notes in the "meaning" field?

Nice, thanks for sharing =D I've recently made decks for K-ON as well. I'll upload any more I do (up to episode 4 at the moment).

I copied the article from the learnanylanguage wiki to the RTK wiki ( http://rtk.wikia.com/wiki/Subs2SRS ), if you like you can add the download link there.

Would you know a K-On torrent?

How do you use the decks? So let's say I downloaded the Zettai Kareshi deck. I just go on Anki and import it?

If so... someone needs to make me a Manhattan Love Story deck. :o

This is amazing!!! Thanks for the link. Although it took me 2 hours of what could have been good study time to get it to work (lol).

I can link to a good K-On torrent if anyone needs it.

I've just uploaded Anki decks for the first 3 episodes of Lucky Star.

Download from the wiki, or directly: Episode1, Episode2 (MediaFire) or Episode2 (Rapidshare), Episode3.

Deck includes:
Audio Clips
Images
Context information
Also, all lines pairings and timings are nearly perfect.

Example fact:

This is my first post, and I'm using it to thank you for your amazing contribution.

Thanks! Big Grin

*EDIT* Episode 2 isn't downloading, when I click the mediafire download link, it times out. 1 and 3 work just fine though.

Your welcome! I have re-uploaded episode 2.

Edit: I can't seem to download the newly uploaded episode 2. I'll try another host shortly.

Edit2: Okay, I added a RapidShare link too.

The rapidshare one works great, thanks. The mediafire one still times out, which is awfully strange. No biggy though, since rapidshare works.

Out of curiosity, how long did it take you to make each deck?

Episode 1 took me about 25 minutes. Episodes 2 and 3 took about 15 minutes each. The actual processing time is fairly short, maybe 5 minutes each. The rest is setup and verification.

CB4960, how did you manage to get the previous expression in there? Did you have to insert them manually?

EDIT: Nevermind, just found the context option. Cool feature! I wonder if its actually that useful though... I'll give it a go.

Still nobody for a CHOBITS deck? I'd like to get that one... and unfortunately, my skills do not enable me to build one yet.

Do you have any subs for it?

A minor suggestion -- Looking at episode 2 (since mediafire seems to be on the blink) a lot of the audio seems to have lost the first syllable or so of the line. Perhaps the prepadding could be increased by half a second or so?
