Good luck with the Typhoon :)

#1
Typhoon hitting soonish for anyone on Honshuu. First looks like it'll hit the Wakayama area, then move north...sorta looks like it'll follow Japan all the way to Hokkaido.

I'm living in Gifu by the way, we should get a healthy dose. Work still hasn't told me if we're having school tomorrow. They sent an e-mail saying high schools here would try to have school at any cost. About 10 minutes later, I read an article saying this could be the biggest typhoon to hit the main island in 10 years. Sheesh Japanese high schools. Smile

Anyways, good luck!

Yeah this one might actually be something. Most I've experienced have been nothing more than hard rain. This is the first to make landfall in years. Better safe than sorry, though.

wow good luck to those living in japan right now. I guess there was one good thing about me not being there right now.

If anyone can, take a video of the craziness.

I've heard things like:

worst typhoon in 10 years to hit Japan

and

one of the worst 50 storms of all time...

I'd stay inside.

Watching the news now- 鹿児島ーKagoshima is in the storm already. Osaka closed all of it's tide gates for the first time in 5 years. Looks like Osaka will get the eye of the storm early tomorrow morning.

It is the first time a typhoon is expected to make landfall in two years.

Here's a picture:

I am in Shiga and although my school said it will contact everybody tomorrow it was basically already decided that school is canceled... for the students. Sad Teachers are still to report in.

Gotta say guys, not impressed so far. I was hoping for something more spectacular, but it's pretty much just a little windy out. It's like, okay storm, good job, you knocked over some bikes, now nut up and blow some chunks of metal through some trees.
