Have you seen this demo for mojimoji.tv?


Guess it's still in the early stages yet. The 'crowd-sourcing' element for recognition improvement is interesting.

Eventually we won't use language at all, we'll just communicate through the senses directly. Until our sensing grows so detailed and complex we invent new languages from there... ? But by then we'll easily be able to learn every possible variation, as well as download kung-fu into our brains.

don't get your hopes up. Computers always fail at recognizing speech. What you saw was probably already edited text.

I'm not even sure if we'll see this technology within 20 years working properly..

I don't know Chinese but there's an article at http://jpzin.com/mojimoji-tv/ that seems to suggest it's in beta and working decent. I'll wait and see.

The main website at mojimoji.tv states that it is in alpha stage and is not open to the public, but clicking on the link at the top you can put your email address in and be notified if there are any changes.
