Has anyone tried to sort a semi-large vocab list along the rtk kanjis? E.g. practice words, for which you already know the kanji or that are kanji-less? How would that fare alongside the RTK studies?

What I've done is download the "full" JLPT1-4 Anki list with about 8000 vocab and installed a plugin which suspends all vocab with RTK kanji that I still haven't learnt. So for example If I just wanna study JLPT3-4 vocab (which is around 1200 words) and I know RTK~ 1200 it exludes all the words with kanji I don't know and I end up with a list of about 800 words. Has been a quite good way for me to learn readings alongside RTK-studies.

wow, there's a plugin? What's it's name? Maybe that could work with my MNH deck too.

Not sure the deck I use is still downloadable from the 'Shared Deck'-option but I suppose it's similar to the 'Japanese JPLT 4 to 1 + additional vacabulary'-deck available there now.
Just now I found a post on this forum linking to two anki-lists that I think should be good to start from, one for all JLPT1 vocab and one for the rest JLPT2-4.
JLPT1: http://martinfinke.googlepages.com/jlpt1-anki.txt
JLPT2: http://martinfinke.googlepages.com/jlpt2-anki.txt

The plugin I used is called SuspendByCharacter and I made custom kanji list with the order from a RTK-list I found on the net, just overwrite the existing SuspendByCharacter.txt in the anki-plugin dir.

(uploaded it to this free share site I've never used dunno if it works)
