Japanese audio rips

#1
As well as trying to watch more things in Japanese, I've started putting the audio for the things I've watched onto my iPod. But I figured that as long as I've done it, I might as well share them, and maybe others can share any they have?

I've only done two series so far, since I only wanted to do full series and I haven't finished all the things I'm currently watching yet. I have most of the drama Maou done, but I seem to be missing an episode or two for that.

I've split them up into sets of about 6~7 episodes so they'd be easier to upload.

I've got the Japanese dub of The Matrix in mp3 format, if anyone wants it? Could upload later.

p.s. I think you can use megaupload.com to avoid the 10 download limit.

Wouldn't it just be better to upload the whole thing? I mean, the audio is so easy to make...

By the way, use something like rapidspread.com It uploads the file to loads of mirrors, so the download lasts way longer.

As in the whole series? It might just be my computer, but making audio--while not very difficult--does take quite a long time, much more than what it would take to download it. Plus there are already plenty of places to download most of these things (maybe not The Matrix.

I was going to use Rapidspread next time. I had forgotten about it when I first uploaded.

I downloaded a full ISO of the Japanese DVD on Share (the Japanese p2p software). It has choice of English and Japanese audio dubs, and English/Japanese subtitles - guess I could upload the subtitles too, if I can work out how to rip em..

Once and for all , japanese sub are NOT faithful . At least when it s a dubbed movie (From what I heard it seems it s different for native medias) . The only thing you can get is the timing .
And you better get it from the english version as it s excruciating to OCR a japanese dub with thousand of different symbols.
Last but not least you re in for retiming about two thousands lines (probably less , the dark knight for instance is 2000 lines long , they talk a lot and it lasts for 2hours and a half.). On the first place It s meant to be sub , not SRS material.

so the most important thing is the audio file/ video file.

Nonetheless If you still want to rip them out then you have two ways
-either you take a specialised soft like xilisoft applications series . It s s... but very user friendly . Basically you just need to press a button . You must be aware though that to the first trouble it will let you down. You ll only get VOB file too .
-or you go all the way in . You learn to use a shitload of videos tools and you ll always get your way.
Roughly speaking you clone the DVD content on your harddisk and then you feed to a soft like Subrip the VOB and IFO file .

But it's so fast =D

It's pretty easy to use when you get used to it. Here's a nice tutorial:

Every time I try and configure Share to work I always fail..

It does have that perfect 'Shady software' look Big Grin

How does Share relate to Winny? Which is the newer version?

Japanese P2P history:

Winny -> Share -> Perfect Dark

Perfect dark is the newest but it's quite slow for us westerners without 100mbps connections. Share is really fast, so we get to leech more =D

Ahaha!

So if I ever move to Japan (presumably after speaking good Japanese...), Perfect Dark is the future.

I connected to nodes, and some searches bring stuff up, but I didn't see the Matrix on there Sad

Do I need more nodes or something? lol

The secret is adding the correct "cluster settings" - you need to add "dvdiso", "iso" and "映画"

Also rather obvious, but you need to search in Japanese. If you don't know the word/title, go to amazon.co.jp, search in English for a movie you want then cut and paste the Japanese title into Share..

p.s. I'll upload the Matrix audio tomorrow or the day after - promise!

tyvm. Do you know if Japanese people do ebooks? What types of clusters would I put in for them?

Seem's "ebook" might work. It gets japanese hits in google at least. http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&saf...earch&meta=

Finally got around to updating the links in the first post, and added the first season of Code Geass as well.

I'd just like to say thanks for the uploads. I've been trying to find audio rips of animes for a while and I've been having a surprisingly tough time.

I don't suppose anyone knows how I could go about finding them do they? Preferably stuff you can listen to with a simple first gen iPod Shuffle.
