Underrated parallel text book

#1
...well, more like "un-talked about," since the reviews on Amazon are pretty good (they are just few).

How come I didn't know about this book earlier?! I just started it today and wish I'd read it at the start. The material is advanced (since it's aimed at adult native Japanese readers) but extremely thoroughly discussed sentence by sentence. The format is addicting and the editor knows his stuff. He explains grammar way better than I've ever heard it explained anywhere.

The material was challenging here and there for me but once you get the editor's explanation of what you're stuck at, it all becomes clear. Possibly better than the Reading Real Japanese and Exploring/Breaking into Japanese Literature series. Well, maybe not better, but different and refreshing. (if only it had audio)

Just ignore the terribly corny, campy and/or sappy title and you have a really valuable text.

Hmm. I think I saw that book and passed over it, probably cause of the title. Will have to give it another look.

If only the title were different, this editor might've found himself with a lot more money...

I saw this at a torrent site while looking for totally legal torrents and ah, made a mental note, but haven't checked it out yet. Guess I will now, though. With a legally purchased copy, of course! ^_^

The publisher's website has sample pdfs from the book.

Here is a pdf of the very first story.

I bought the book and found it easy to use as well.

I bought that book, I like it and I also bought all the breaking into japanese series. I am looking forward to reading them once I have finished RTK 1 Smile. Enjoy it, I know I will.
