It could be good for grammar and listening skills to transcribe a program in japanese, i think. I've chosen アタシんちの男子 because:
1. it has a good mix of difficulty levels
2. japanese subs and dramanote scripts aren't available
3. it's a new program, so it has decent sound quality
4. i've seen a few people around here say they like it, & it's a light and funny drama.
5. It's easy to find both for dl and streaming with or without english subs.
If people like the idea, but not the drama chosen, np, we can just move on to something else. When we get bored, we can move onto something else too. If it tuns out to be too difficult, we can pick something easier. etc.
So here's how it can work:
* A person writes a post saying they are doing the next bit.
* They then do however much they like, a few lines, a few minutes, however much they want.
* However, they must post within 24 hours of claiming the next bit. Once they post, their bit is considered finished, and someone else can claim.
* It doesn't have to be perfect, so don't worry if you find it hard. The main thing is to try!! Put ____ if you can't work out a word, sentence, whatever.
* Once someone has posted a bit, other people can help correct mistakes, fill in blanks, etc.
* Anyone interested in improving their translation skills is also welcome to post an english translation, or word for word translation etc. Anyone who is learning english can say so, and we can help correct their english too.
* Basically, this is supposed to be NOT A CHORE. It's a kind of do however much you want whenever you feel like it sort of thing. We can all help each other out, and hopefully learn some stuff.
* Therefore, it's about the doing it itself that is important, and NOT the result. Anyone should be able to pick up and do a few lines, and not worry about how many blanks there are. But, if enough people get into doing it and helping correct it, we can turn it into a subs2srs deck once we finish.
