Hi Bombpersons,

Any chance you could do a KanjiLite version of these - would be handy revision for JLPT2. Alternatively, could you release a version of your script that takes the keywords as well, and I can probably work out how to cut it down to the KanjiLite set.

Sure, I can do them if you can send me a list of the kanjiLite kanji.

Or if you want you can use the script yourself:

Here

You'll need python and pygame installed. Also, if you are on Linux or a Mac you'll need to install ffmpeg. If you're on windows then there is a ffmpeg.exe in the archive.

Thanks very much! The RTK Lite kanji are listed here:

http://forum.koohii.com/showthread.php?tid=993&page=2 (i.e. the 1023 for level JLPT2, plus the additional 92, totalling 1115).

I might see if I can use the script, and see how I get on...

Bombpersons! You are awesome! Thank you. You exemplify the spirit of cooperation that makes this the best kanji-studying forum on the web.
Putting it on my ipod to study on the train to work.

Edit: later that afternoon...Errr...it won't go on for some reason..iSquint tells me it will take 30 hours to convert it.
Any tech-savvy folks out there who can help me? (Bompersons has done enough work for today!)

The only reason the file size is so small, is because of the way I converted it with ffmpeg. I don't what'll happen if you try to convert it again.
If you know how to use FFMPEG, try converting the images (made by the script) directly to an Ipod format.

Has anybody a copy of the script? It isn't anymore available, and I can't find it anywhere :-(
Thanks

Gah, I should have backed it up, but I think I lost it when I reformatted my drive =(
There's an older version that still works here though.

To be honest I didn't change much in the newer version, all I did was add some separate scripts to make different styles of videos, so it might still be useful to you.

This is an amazing idea, unfortunately I can't get it working right.

All of the massmirror links seem to be down now. I downloaded the script, and it made images for all the kanji, but it didn't seem to make a video and both the scripts for making images with Kanji + Keyword show an error for me.

Does anybody have it working besides just the image files with Kanji alone?
