Another perk of using video clips in Anki instead of audio--you can use the space bar to pause it.

It took me hours to do a few minutes, and the sound quality on the video is poor and theres words im questionable on in a lot of sentences. So, no good. i like doing it, but would never get through a whole episode, let alone a series. Think i'm gonna start a thread on doing something else with decent audio though, just transcribing...What are you using to time them? If you're using aegisub, it's a lot easier if you just import the audio, since you can see where the voices start and stop (the sound wave thingys).

I haven't tested out whether you can do it with audio files--as it is, 'space bar' during audio playback merely flips the card over, but if one can change the hotkey for card-flipping, perhaps that frees up the space bar for the audio mplayer thingy again.IceCream Wrote:sorry blackmacros, i have to give up on this. Another side effect, perhaps it does it for other media files but I've only noticed it with my video deck, is that mecab.exe processes pile up. Didn't notice any performance hindrances, but just to be safe I usually use the cmd prompt to taskkill in batches.

So has anyone else been using video clips in Anki? I honestly haven't done much with this since late August upon my decision to use them, and not since cb4960 updated subs2srs with some new timing options, but I've used it to some extent and I really like my experience so far. It just feels... right, hehe. I probably won't have more in-depth experience/results till I've done this more over the next several months.

With the helpful advice on this forum Subs2Srs w/video has helped me very much in my studies.
