I found this to be a good test of Japanese abilities.

Hey guys, I was just thinking. Maybe we can make some sort of thread where people can rip their own J-Dub movies and set them up for downloading. I have quite a few J-Dub movies myself, but I am interested in what everyone else has to offer.

Thanks Jon
It's a google group for sharing movies / games etc. Stuff ファブリス doesn't want us sharing here for copyright reasons.

You can request an invite here http://groups.google.com/group/rtk-share
Thanks bombpersons. I requested access.

There's a program called Craving Explorer, which can download from YouTube and Niconico Douga and other video sites, but not all. You can also choose different formats (download as an flv, or save as an avi/mpeg, or just download the audio as an mp3/wav/etc.).

I have uploaded Alice in Wonderland on MegaUpload and the link has been posted on RTK Share: http://groups.google.com/group/rtk-share?hl=ja

It was posted on the page "Japanese Dubs." I have also put one episode of Powerpuff Girls on that page. Let me know if that file format (.m4v) is working for you guys~ Youtube doesn't seem to be liking it very much

Here's the link to the Japanese Dub page:
http://groups.google.com/group/rtk-share...dubs?hl=ja

Also, Alice in Wonderland has Japanese subtitles~ some sentences are spot on, others just add or leave off or add extra gobi, while some sentences can be completely different. Having the subtitles did make a big difference when I used them though.

You're welcome! Do you think m4v is an ok format to keep using? I could also use AVI with the program I'm using. I have 2 other Disney movies and 7 or 8 more episodes of PPG to upload so I wanna use the best file format.

Yeah I didn't think I'd be able to upload 450MB for sure! The limit is 1024MB or something like that. If you go over the limit, only premium users can download it.

Many thanks for the uploads! I will work on getting the stuff I have up.

Mhh.. I can deal with m4v files but it is a little awkward. I take it you're using that format to reduce filesize? If you could do avi, I think that would be better.

I was trying to upload my files all day, but in the end I only managed to get one up since the others failed half way through =( Though I can upload to badongo.com through ftp now, so hopefully tomorrow I can upload loads =D

The Lion King was very nice. I don't think I've ever actually seen the English version, but it seems to have a fairly obvious plot, heh. I'm pleased that I recognised the odd word here and there =P

Maybe I'm thinking too much about this, but does it explain what the lions eat?... I noticed Simba seemed dubious about eating bugs.

Guess nobody read my post. lol Does anyone want to make a thread where we can share some of the J-dub stuff we have? Is that okay on this forum (I mean, people are already sharing in this thread...)? I have lots of stuff to share, but I am wondering if I am alone on this one.

I think many uplaoders use HJSPLIT to split/join files over megaupload

I think someone might've mentioned it~ There's a rule against sharing directly here on the forum (copyright related). On RTK Share (http://groups.google.com/group/rtk-share?hl=ja) there was a page created just for sharing Japanese dubs. I was hoping to see that list grow, so if you have things to share, that would be a great place to add them I think. Are you a member of RTK share?

I have a hard time finding dubs of older stuff too. There are tons of nostalgic things I've been looking for dubs of -- things that I've seen over and over on Nick at Night like I Love Lucy, Happy Days, B-witched. Kinda dorky but no matter how dorky it is, it's still great if it's something that was great to your during your childhood.

I looked around for Dune on Youtube, Veoh and Truveo and nothing came up.

You know what I'd like to see... 60's Twilight Zone in Japanese
