I saw the first episode of Lone Wolf and Cub and I didn't liked it. Most of the People speak in there speak not very understandable. One of them spokes so slow and monotone that I wanted only to make the TV off.

Ok, it is a introduction episode. Are the later ones better?

I heard there are around 50 Episodes in Japan of this series.

It does get better and it is samurai speak-but I like that! a good challange.

It is like 50+ epsidoes. You have to be a pretty big fan I guess, as they are dated. I had been carring the dvds around for about 3 yeras before I finally go thru them all....

There are also (3?) movies. I've seen all the movies but none of the series.
Same for the similar Zatoichi. I've seen 27 of the movies (all except the new undoubtably awful one with a female Zatoichi), but none of the tv series.

Miracle of miracles I have a girlfriend who likes to watch 時代劇 (the equivalent of finding a Canadian girlfriend who likes kungfu movies), so maybe I'll track down the series and watch it with her.
