Why do my custom keywords keep getting deleted?

#1
I'm using the Firefox/Greasemonkey script and it seems that my older keywords keep randomly disappearing. I usually leave my browser open all the time, but sometime it crashes and all my old tabs open up automatically when I restart. I vaguely recall something about restoring your old session messing things up, but I can't find the original post.

Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to ask is how can I save my keywords? Is there an easy way for me to export them to a text file or something and then re-up them if they randomly disappear?

I had that problem as well. I got sick of it and moved everything over to Anki instead. Now I know my personal edits will always be there, saved and synced.

I had that problem as well, usually after Firefox crashed. I don't know a solution, though. I did what Tobberoth did and switched to Anki for RTK.

AFAIK synching only happens upon closing the browser, be it manually through the File menu or the big X on the title bar, or on shutdown. If done manually, I think you need to close all browser windows to force the application to end, and it's well possible that you can't restore your previous session afterwards. But Firefox behavior is changing constantly, so try out a few scenarios. It may well be that exiting and reopening the browser saves the keywords and restores your tabs. The file that you want to monitor is prefs.js, in your Firefox profile folder. To locate it, read through this thread.
