While doing this I noticed that the finer the tip of whatever writing utensil I use, the better it looks. Also, if I use a Sanford Micro pen, it looks pretty good (ballpoint tip). But if I use an extra fine pilot V razor point pen, it's pretty bad because it has a marker-ish tip.
My fountain pens aren't fine enough to look good...
