A few questions! Core2k6k process, Subs2SRS, KO2001

#1
I'm doing 30 kanji/day from RTK1 and 30 sentences/day from Core2K/6K. I'm only 120 sentences in, but I'm finding it very helpful thus far. I'm on Kanji #520.

Here's my process for learning Core2K/6K sentences:
1. Listen to new sentence, write it down in a notebook.
2. Look up all words I don't know, figure out verb(s) and conjugation.
3. Write below or above the words I wrote in hiragana, what the best English equivalent is for that particular context.
4. Write the Kanji in the margin if I know it.
5. Memorize & review.
At the end of the week, I plan to do a "verb roundup". I'll dig out all the verbs, and conjugate them in every tense.

For memorizing, I've been trying to use what I've learned in RTK to imprint the words into my brain.
Example: しつもん - I imagine a student in a classroom being asked a QUESTION by the teacher. He pops up out of his chair and rushes toward the door. The teacher asks him what he's doing, and he responds "I've got the shits'u'mon!" He's Jamaican, of course.
さいふ - You see your "sifu" at the mall and you see him dressed in drag, with a PURSE. You let out a long drawn out "sigh". sigh + sifu = purse.

Do any of you use techniques like this?
I've heard of doing KO2001 along with Core, thoughts?
I would like to begin SUBS2SRS in the next few weeks. I'd like to do it on one of my favorite animes, Rourouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal. I'm having a bit of trouble finding Japanese subtitles for it. Any suggestions on where I can find it? Keep in mind that I can't really read Japanese, so navigating Japanese sites on my own probably won't be possible. Can you find subs with Hiragana spelling out Kanji?

Thank you in advance Smile
