Another one struggling

If it matters for me it's like:
Initial review (about 12 hours): 70%+
3 day review: 40-60% usually, sometimes 70%+
7 day review: 80%+
Anything else: 80%+

Tobberoth made me feel bad, but in a good way, because I know everything that he's saying is true. ~___~

Tobberoth Wrote:I'd say you SHOULD be worried at 60%, there's no reason your retention needs to be that low. 60% is enough to keep you moving forward, but there's a lot to consider.

1. High amount of failure = loads of extra reviews
2. If you fail 60% in 3 days, the risk is quite high you will fail even more in a month or two.
3. It can usually be fixed quite easily.
Heh...actually, after the 3 day mark, I seem to do pretty well.

Still seem to be sorta wax on wax off up to that point though...Hmm.

The problem is if you forget 30% then thats 30% that comes up again and again. And then there are the forgotten ones in the longer term. Surely its better to spend time now and work out why? That would be more than 600 kanji failed when at the end of the book. Thats quite a bit to be redoing. And often redoing is harder I think.

The earlier then problems get ironed out, surely the faster the book will get done anyhow?
