failed flashcards

#1
I noticed that whenever I have a failed flashcard, it doesn't go in box 1, which is where it's supposed to go right?

It just stays in box 2 as a nonexpired card. Anyone else run into this? Is it maybe something I'm doing somewhere that's messing it up?

Thanks

Do you mean after you have re-studied the card it drops into box 2? Or does it go into box 2 as soon as you have failed it?

Box one is strictly for new, non-quizzed flashcards, as well as failed cards, as soon as you have studied/re-learnt a card, or quizzed in a new card it pops into box 2, where it then will get delayed until you see it again.

Hope that helps ^^

Ahh ok. I always immediately restudied them--I didn't realize that moved them back to box 2.

Thanks

If you clicked the "learned" button in the study section, it will move the cards to the 2nd box and make them that lovely shade of green. I usually leave a time interval between when I fail a card and I restudy (at least an hour). I also won't move them out of the failed stack until I can generate the kanji from looking at the keyword in the failed cards list.

I also do it exactly this way except I wait a day, and on days when I have very few or zero failed cards I add new ones.

Seems like a good idea to wait a little. I think I will have to try that.

Thanks again for the replies and tips
