Actually I found a way to handle media in iAnki by using an application named "Files Lite" (which is free) to store the media, but I haven't finished coding it yet.

Does anyone have problems with new cards in iAnki? For some reason the number of new cards are combined with the re-review card count (the left number), but I never get to see them. I can only review old cards!

@vosmiura
It would be great if iAnki could handle sound files. This is only thing that's missing in the app for me. I'm reluctant to jailbreak by iPod to get this functionality, but if iAnki could just play sound files it would be so musch more useful. Don't mind a bit of messing around with getting the sound files on the device using other apps.
Pretty please!

Why are people still not jailbreaking their iphones and ipod touches? It takes literally less than 1 minute and it's perfectly safe. All you do is download a program, plug it in and press a button in said program.

This is a bit off topic but, I've been thinking about jailbreaking. I have the blackra1n software downloaded and I've reading up about it. As far as I can gather it is a tethered jailbreak, so you have to keep your iPod on standby with life in the battery or else you need to reconnect and re-jailbreak it if it powers off completely. Am I right here?
Also I'm wondering if it affects any of the other apps, presumably they will all run as usual. Also wondering about iTunes, can you still use it to manage your music and films? And it will synching work as normal?
It would be nice to miniAnki with the media files so I'll probably go for it, but just a little wary that's all. If it all goes horribly wrong I suppose you just reboot clean from iTunes!

Never heard of blackra1n. I just used that RedSn0w thing or whatever it was called.
I don't use AnkiMini because it just causes a lot of hassle for some reason. Sync doesn't work, decks too large, something. Even though I realise these can be fixed, iAnki works right off the bat!

As for how it works, it's identical. Your apps will work as normal, iTunes works as normal, Appstore works as normal. The only difference really is that you can use Cydia to get unsigned software.

Please could someone explain to me how to set up iAnki on my iPod. I cannot find it on the Anki website. Thanks.
