Lol, why is that? You could've written anything hehe. Hmm...you'd rather write top to bottom/right to left?
And btw, funny you mentioned you wrote よろこんで instead of よろこんだ, I made the exact same mistake, but I erased (confession) it haha

Because I NEED to write kanji 
It was very difficult to write やま instead of 山 XD
And yep, top to bottom ftw, it makes me more space conscious. If I write left-right then I just write as wide as I want. I couldn't be bothered printing more 原稿用紙 though.

No, I'm on the US Base (Camp Lemonier) which is near the French base. However, I did request a spot on the 4 week French Commando training being offered to US personnel in November, assuming the SEALS don't hog all the spots.
Cool thing is there's 150 Japanese Self Defense Force members here (reaction to Somali pirate issues), so 1 to 2 times a week I help teach/moderate an English Discussion Group with them. Doesn't seem very productive but they seem to like it. Last time, I used subs2srs with Casino Royale for them with Anki and it was received well. Now they're requesting Top Gun (apparently none of them saw Casino Royale).

Damn SEALS think they're better than everyone... Hey if you do get in, let me know how it goes; before I met my fiance I aspired to be an instructor there. lol about Top Gun. Mind sharing that deck when it's made?
