I want to always have some manga with me for when I am out somewhere and am struck by boredom.
Having a REAL manga is difficult, since you can't buy them raw in Belgium, and online I bet they are more expensive than 100 yen. Since here in Japan I buy all my manga 100 yen...

Is it possible? does it exist for the nintendo DS? If I download a manga on internet and put it on my ds or something? (I haven't bought one yet)

I have a mini-notebook (about the size of 2 hands) but I want something smaller more convenient. Anyone any tips? Or am I too soon with this high tech stuff?

Well, you could download raw manga from mangahelpers.com for free, and then get some sort of mobile device that can display pictures and stuff like an iphone/ipod or something...

If you're in Japan right now, why don't you just stock up or something?

PSPs work quite well. I would imagine the DS's screen reolution to too small to be able to read most manga though.

This. When I was in Osaka they had every imaginable manga available for 70 yen each!

70/100 yen? Is that for a full manga volume, of a particular series (for example, Death Note 1)? It's usually 500yen on online stores, so are you guys talking about manga magazines or something? When something sounds too good to be true...

Second hand stores are amazing here. I have even seen stores that sold 3 200+page, hard-cover art books for 1000 yen (for the set of 3, one of which would be ~$100 normally).Taking this anecdote, consider what 1 measly, soft-cover manga might cost.

Osamu Tezuka's 火の鳥 was published for the DS:

It was a soft cover volume 1 of death note. It was second hand but was basically in perfect condition. I found the shop in Osaka's amerika mura or whatever its called.
