Since this is a Kanji forum, let's use a primitive to memorialize him.
I nominate the finger primitive.

Nuriko Wrote:...the man dies and people are still talking about his nose. No, not just the nose -- that's a gross oversimplification. What people are talking about is why a man with so much obvious talent would, voluntarily, mutilate his own appearance to the point that he became a caricature. It's a valid topic of conjecture, one that people don't dwell on eternally, but one that any thread about the man, including that of his unfortunate passing, is going to include.
vosmiura Wrote:I guess we are all entitled to believe what we want to about that. There are almost countless broken noses among human beings annually. One does not see many, if any, that turn out so progressively disfiguring. Pardon my doubt.Wally Wrote:Yeah, the nose ...He didn't say vitiligo nor lupus affected his nose. It was from breaking his nose, then plastic surgery after surgery to fix it. And he had a cleft surgically put in his chin.
Neither vitiligo nor lupus would indicate a shape change that dramatic, or even at all.
ghinzdra Wrote:I would rather say the man dies and people start talking about him again.... how he was great , how they're happy to see this f.... n..... and child molester at last dead, how he was a symbol for the black people ,.... bla bla bla . You have paris hilton's quotes right next franck sinatra's and fred astaire's !!!I tend to agree, and it is in fact a circus. The news cycle got a gift, since the Iranian demonstrations seem to have cooled off, Mr. Kim hasn't attacked Hawaii, and the financial system seems to have shed itself of immediate systemic risk.
it's slightly pathetic . The sudden surge in the sales of his albums in the wake of his death is even more pathethic. C'mon if you loved his music you didn't have to wait up his death to buy his albums . And if you were not so much in love with it I don't see the point of buying it now. while the guy was a financial wreck there is this splash of cash the very moment he doesn't it anymore.
The whole damn circus makes me sick.
Wally Wrote:And while I'm sure his father could have been a son of a bitch, a lot of people survive fathers that are sons of bitches without so much apparent damage.Well, apparently he was one of the few who was, indeed, damaged.
KREVA Wrote:Obviously. But damaged by the father, or damaged by so much success, so much money, and so many sycophants? Or by a combination of all of the above. I suspect few of us, very few, would escape an environment in which we had almost unlimited funds, and all the people around us where constantly telling us that we were a kind of god, psychologically unscathed.Wally Wrote:And while I'm sure his father could have been a son of a bitch, a lot of people survive fathers that are sons of bitches without so much apparent damage.Well, apparently he was one of the few who was, indeed, damaged.

Mcjon01 Wrote:I was really hoping that it would turn out his death was staged, and that halfway through the memorial service the lights would dim and smoke would start pouring out onto the stage with that spooky voiceover guy doing his thing, and then all of a sudden MJ pops out of his gold-plated coffin in full zombie makeup and kicks off his comeback tour with the most elaborately setup rendition of Thriller ever.OMG, I can just imagine that. That would have been insanely epic! =D
Far-fetched, I know, but it would have been awesome.
Aijin Wrote:It's sad when anyone dies, but I for one will sleep more soundly at night.lmao
I don't want to sound mean, but he scared the crackers out of me (yes, human beings are filled with crackers, it's a giant medical cover-up)
vinniram Wrote:so much hatred here. what I will never understand is that people who are NOT fans of Michael Jackson are so obsessed with his nose. I find that rather disturbing - becoming obsessed by someone's nose, or their appearance, even though you hate them/don't like them... people who are obsessed like that, when they aren't even fans, those people are ***** weirdos. I have a message for freaks who are obsessed with commenting on his nose: GET A ***** LIFE.関係ないだろう?
Michael Jackson is love. That was his message. of course, there were disgusting extortionists who wanted to twist that into something it was not, hence the stupid molestation charges. of course, the media conveniently forgot the american legal system(um, did you ***** haters forget the "innocent until proven guilty" bit?) and the media harassed and ridiculed Michael... but SORRY haters, he was found innocent. let me say that again - innocent. hmm don't know how to spell that word? I N N O C E N T.
Michael Jackson is a beautiful human being, but there were ***** weirdos obsessed with his appearance, obsessed with the molestation charges, and these ***** weirdos tried to bring him down.
people from Tokyo to Bucharest mourned him, and cried for him, and love him with all their hearts. After all, Michael Jackson is all for love; L. O. V. E. And L.O.V.E. is all that matters - Japan loves him most
