I don't really find JP internet content (or internet content in general) that compelling. I guess I use Mixi the most... 1000moji sounds interesting though.

they're just written with like interstingly. the japanese anime blogs or blogs just seem very limited with the vocab they use which makes them boring to read. I tried the blog ranking site and then just any.

I've found that you can get a lot of anime blogs if you search for "[anime title]第1話" on google. For example, googling "化物語第1話" gives me 8 blog results talking about the first episode of 化物語 in the first page alone. Some of them have a lot of pictures, some are short and plain, and some are quite long and detailed. You're bound to find one with a style that you like, I reckon.

Wow, anti-emily blog. Don't know who's right or wrong, but people can say what they want, she did her 'kanji reviewing' and is that much closer to fluency (if she's not already). props to her on that.

Bwahaha, I remember a year or two ago when all of this started going down. Her ex-boyfriend (whom she allegedly ditched in Japan) really went all out and revealed a slew of information. Not long after, her Youtube account was hacked, background replaced by goatse, and a few days later terminated (until she was able to restore it a week or two later). I don't wish ill on anyone, but sometimes, those with egos the size of the Mt. Fuji seriously need to be knocked down a peg (or 50) for their own good. I think her batshit fans are even more annoying, if that's even scientifically possible.

Anyway, back on topic. Three Japanese websites I enjoy:

An interesting assortment of cultural news and tidbits, often covering the more bizarre, amusing and shocking facets of life. Can quite often be pretty disturbing; even I don't have the stomach for some of their articles. Brace yourself, ye who dare enter!

TBS Radio 文化系トークラジオ Life (safe)
My favorite podcast, basically a group of 20-somethings who discuss current events, popular culture and so forth. Intelligent, fun and interesting (and great listening practice!).

ファミ通 (safe)
An ubiquitous name for most people who play video games, and a very informative website. Covers a wide variety of gaming news.

After reading one of her blog entries.. yeah, I agree. The language is quite flawed and her use of Kanji is.. just.. weird. It's not about using too many or too little.. it's just weird as hell. Unintentionally funny, yes. Learning material, big no!
