Where are you tapping?

An option for bigger buttons will be in the next release

I love the application!
I'm just wondering if it's possible to support iOS4's multitasking features. Most specifically the "fast switch" one. It'd be great if a deck was "always open". Is it even possible to keep a file open while the application is frozen?
Boo at Apple (if it's not possible), Yay for Resolve (if it's possible or not)!

Yay! I can't wait. Well worth the $25.
I hope saves have helped boosted your revenue. It's great getting such great support.

Do you have a roadmap of when the writing canvas will be added?

It's the second most popular feature so it won't be that long, but fact input/editing is more popular, so that gets done first. And bug fixes have top priority - the next release is mainly bugfixes and user interface tweaks.

I don't know if this has already been discussed, but is the "mark" feature taking a while for anyone else? There's about a 10 second pause whenever I mark a card and then grade it. It's definitely not a cripplingly flaw, but it does withhold a seamless reviewing experience.

I occasionally get unsettlingly long delays when undoing, which has the same notiication popup as mark.

Thanks, Offshore! You actually picked a good time to get a phone - AnkiMobile1.3 was just approved by Apple a few hours ago.
vil: Are you still having trouble? Do you have many suspended cards?

Well, two days ago my laptop from 2002 finally kicked the bucket, so I drank the kool-aid and bought a Macbook Pro/iPod Touch combo (thank you student pricing). First thing I did was buy Anki Mobile and Resolve, I could kiss you (in a manly, platonic way). Really, the program is rocking my face right off its faceplate. At the library, in lines, anywhere I've got a second I bust it out and do a few reps. I especially dig the "shake to undo" feature, it's a thing of beauty.
So thanks, really. I gave you 5-star review with a little write-up on iTunes, and I'm more than happy to have given you some very well-earned $$. I hope you end up with a vault/swimming pool of gold that rivals Scrooge McDuck's. If so, maybe I could learn to fly a helicopter and become your Launchpad?
Just throwing it out there.

After using this daily since it's launch, I just wanted to express my appreciation as well. This app is amazing and has changed my study life, and really benefited the level of stuff I learn each day. My favorite thing I use it for is learning new vocabulary words. I have a deck that is a temporary stop for new cards that is set to learning mode algorithm. By using the ipod I just do a few sessions here and there throughout the day, and it makes learning painless. Buy the end of the day the new words have a pretty good foothold in my brain, and go into my regular deck.
Thanks resolve, this has really helped me tremendously!

mattimus: Thanks! It's not going to get me rich any time soon, but it's great to be paid for the work I'm doing, and makes me want to work harder.

I've been wanting to buy the app for a while, but I can't use AnkiOnline with my vocabulary deck. It's over 20MB and even if I do all the checks it never syncs, so I'm still using AnkiMini at the moment and suffering the horrendous performance of a jailbroken OS4.
My question is: is it possible to use the app without AnkiOnline? If not, is WiFi/USB syncing (or at least transfer) planned for any future releases? Thanks.

Jailbreaking doesn't make your device any slower if you don't install crap like winterboard. No extra processes run unless you install them.
My deck is much larger than 20mb w/o media and I've never had problems on anki/ianki/ankionline/ankimini/ankimobile.

You should be able to sync decks much larger than 20MB. Where exactly is it breaking? What is happening?

Just want to offer my thanks as well; I bought the iPad version recently and it's great. 5 stars from me. Just discovered the new iTunes USB sync too, which is definitely more convenient than using Anki Online (for me at least). Great job.

How's things going resolve? Any luck on getting the government or corporations interested? Have the sales been up to your expectation?
I've spent more time with Anki than I'd care to admit, but I hope it really takes off.

Like a true engineer I'm working on backend changes to improve flexibility and performance instead of thinking about how to market Anki. That can come later :-)
