Thanks nukemarine, for providing the spreadsheets, they are very useful. I'm currently working my way (very slowly) through the movie method and am very happy with the results so far. I just thought I might add one film to the list of movies used.

For the セン-group I'm using 千と千尋の神隠し ("Chihiros Reise ins Zauberland" or "Spirited Away"). When I watched the film for the fist time, not knowing anything about Japanese, Kanji, or readings, I kept wondering how 千尋 (Chihiro) could become 千 (Sen) by removing one character. So it kind of stuck and now it comes in handy to learn that group.

Maybe some more movies will come up while I'm working my way through the different groups, but currently I'm very happy with the list so far.

@Biene: Maybe we could do that together and could add something to the anki deck i provided? (In german as well if you want to)

@Tori-kun: Sure, but be aware that I'm very slowly going though the different groups, since I'm currently doing RTK1 again (currently round frame 1200) and actually planned to go though RTK3 before really focusing on the movie method. Also my Japanese studies have currently quite low priotiry in my life, as I'm swamped with other things.

I'll send you a pm later on with the "story snapshots" I've come up with so far (only three groups and a half). Though I'll have to write them first, since I havent yet created an Anki deck for this method and only reviewed in my head.

It's fine, though.. Waiting for the pm, we'll work it out anyway. So for the "Kei" group I have picked the movie "gran torino - doing mistakes is oKEI!" Smile Nothing to worry about for you until now. good luck with heisig! \o

Does anyone happen to have all the on-yomi groups from RTK1 and RTK3 in a spread-sheet like nukemarine posted in this thread, including Reading, Kanji, Keyword, Heisig-Number-for-the-Kanji?

I hadn't realized it before, even though nukemarine clearly stated in his post that the spreadsheet was only featuring the on-yomi for the Jojou-kanji, and somehow ended up assuming it contains all the on-yomi for RTK1 and RTK3.
So far, I only looked up the missing on-yomi for セン and tried to quickly place them in the movie (Spirited Away) but ended up spending almost as much time on the few additional kanji as on the セン-joujou-group before. Since I plan to learn the on-yomi for both books using the movie-method (even though I haven't done RTK3 yet, and despite the fact that some of these readings are very seldom encountered...), I'd like to have the complete on-yomi group in the computer before I go through the individual movies and select scenes for the Kanjis. That way, I at least wouldn't have to flip back and forth through RTK2 and RTK3 just to add the missing pieces.
