What does this mean?

あの人は口数が多い

I think EDICT has a mistake in it, because EDICT says:

口数 くちかず (n) number of dependents (words, shares, accounts)

But i think... this means "That person has a lot of incidents where he talks a lot". Is this right? Thanks so much

口数が多い is an idiom and means talks allot. Think "a lot of mouth" and you should remember it quite easily.

LMAO. Ah english, a language with a writing system so annoying for even native speakers to learn that explanations using *japanese* are helpful.

Yeah! I don't remember how I learned to spell and pronounce English at school, but if I had to do it all over again, I'd probably kill myself.

Even now (or maybe because), after I've read a lot of English books, I run into the occasional new word and have no idea how to pronounce it. Or even worse, I hear a word from a native speaker and realize I've been pronouncing it wrong all along.

edit: I just realized this is probably not the right thread to spark a discussion about English. I apologize for the off topic. : O

Are you using an old version of EDICT here? The version on the wwwjdic website has two definitions: "(n) (1) number of words a person speaks; (2) number of dependents (words, shares, accounts);" as well as a separate entry for the 口数が多い idiom.

What does onideshi mean in:

弟弟子に決まりを教える。

弟弟子 おとうとでし (n) pupil; new disciple

Does おとうとでし and でし mean the same thing? Are these used today, or is this an older term.

Is it easy just to think of でし as meaning... 先輩? or is it 先輩の生徒っぽい？

Like here is another example, which is why i was confused:
となりの兄弟は三つ子だ。

I looked it up on yahoo
and I found out about

弟弟子　and 兄弟子(Older/Senior apprentice).

I believe the 兄弟子 would be the 先輩。

It means it doubled. You can say 二倍 or just 倍.

Not really. A "deshi" is a disciple or apprentice; i.e. someone learning from a master or teacher.

The Daijirin's definition is clear:
師について、学問や技芸の教えを受ける人。

Now, 兄弟子 and 弟弟子 are like senpai and kohai:

兄弟子：自分より先に同じ師や親方についた人。同門の先輩。
弟弟子：同じ師匠のもとに、あとから入門した弟子。

弟子 is sort of an old word, although it's probably still used in some contexts in Japan today. You see it a lot in fiction, though, particularly with martial arts schools or the like.

It's an extremely useful tool for checking sentences carefully and in detail, and pointing out where and how you should correct something.

With regard to what is wrong, the main reason is definitely repetiveness.
