One peculiar thing about DC is that exact translations are often critical, as was the situation with the latest case. A simple paraphrasing here and there can mess up the whole translation!

Translation is done, more or less, and I have to send out props to a great book I found for learning Kansa dialect. It's called "Kinki Japanese," by DC Palter and Kaoru Horiuchi Slotsve. It has a nice little glossary of common Kansai expressions, and really helped me on a few translations that would have had me hopelessly stumped otherwise.
