Subs2srs deck downloads

Speaking of making this program for more languages, I just made a deck for Storm Warriors 2 (Cantonese Audio, both English and Cantonese subs, generated Cantonese readings). Is anyone interested in this? If so, should I put it on the wiki?

Morgo: I'm interested!

I am going to Hong Kong at the end of April, and I am currently attempting to learn some Cantonese using Japanese only resources.

I also purchased some HK travel guides in Japanese, which seem much better than the English language equivalents, and is a good way to maintain my so-called "immersion environment" while traveling internationally.

I am also interested in Mandarin subs2srs decks, if anyone has any.

Well Nick, I don't know what level of Cantonese you're at, but please don't expect any miracles since Storm Warriors is not exactly everyday Cantonese. Definitely won't teach you how to say "Check please!", but might teach you how to say "Protect Lord Godless!!" and the Cantonese readings of some Kanji.

Not to mention there's only about 360 lines of speaking in the whole movie, apparently. I guess it's a typical action film.

Nonetheless, until someone says otherwise, I've uploaded the deck to the subs2srs wiki:
http://rtkwiki.koohii.com/wiki/Subs2srs#Shared_decks

or in case someone deems it irrelevant and takes it down, here's the direct link:

Next on my list is to process the movie Yip Man (Ip man?). Yip Man appears to have more speaking (930 lines), but some of it is in Japanese which is gonna make some useless cards somewhere in the deck.

I see Spanish and Korean up today, that was fast ^^
Maybe this is the start of something beautiful.

Having a hard time finding good Cantonese subs for Yip Man, the ones I thought were good are timed so poorly.

Thanks Morgo!

Re: Yip Man, unless there is no timing at all, most timing issues can be relatively easily fixed by using Aegisub: http://www.aegisub.org/

Ahhh the famous Aegisub! I should have known... I'll have to wait for later to try it out but thanks for the tip! The subtitles are there and timed, I think it just might be for a different version of the film or....maybe they just suck Tongue of course not being fluent at Cantonese makes it all the more dangerous (these do appear to be the right subs...I think).

Looking forward to getting that deck to work too. I've been going full steam on this Subs2SRS thing...today I spent hours looking around trying to find the next JDrama/Dorama series to convert after I finish going through Maou.

Did you know, that there's a list/Index of soft subs on D-Addicts?
http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/subtitles.php

When I see a list of English and Japanese subs side by side (find the pair and WIN!...well, if you can find the video too) I can kind of understand someone's comments earlier about "why put up a lot of decks when you could just generate them yourself", other than of course a few completed decks to illustrate how it works. Then again... it would save someone a bit of work/time either way if you posted it.

On the other hand though, for Cantonese... it's actually very hard to find English and Cantonese subs for the same movie, so perhaps posting decks on the wiki is a better way to go about things in this case.

Enjoy HK^^ I haven't been back for over 3 years or so.

I'm gonna have to download them in hd and make a personal deck =D
Does anybody know if subs exist for the older FMA from 04?

Hey guys, how do you use that death note deck? Without the English translation I need to read subs from images. The problem is that the pics are too small, perhaps 1x2 inches (5x10cm), and I can't read the subs. Also, images are pretty low resolution so I don't know if they were meant for reading.

So how do you use it? pop up dictionary? Unfortunately stardict doesn't work in anki for me :/ The audio is great and I was really looking forward to making good use of it.

Added JIN episodes 8-11. About 409 cards, 44 MB. avg is like around 100 per ep.
i don't think I'll do Jin ep 1 2 since i already did 3-11 (that's alot..)

I obviously i didn't do all the lines cause that would equal 2000 cards or so. I just filtered for lines/words/phrases/grammar I wanted which resulted with 409 cards.

Does anyone still have the Neon Genesis Evangelion subs2srs deck? It used to be up on Anki's shared decks, but it's not there anymore.

By the way, are people still doing subs2srs?

I am, and as a matter of fact, all the subs for Final Fantasy Advent Children Complete are dead.

All the links in this thread http://forum.koohii.com/showthread.php?tid=3152
are dead, and all the links with the deck download for the movie are also dead.

Does anybody have the subtitles for this movie? They are IMPOSSIBLE to find. Please reupload them or /something/.

The link seems broken to me but maybe it's my ISP/country blocking it.

It may be that it's blocked for you - I just tested it out on another computer and it worked. Do you know a site I could upload them too that would work for you?

I solved the problem this morning, thanks a lot anyway.

I decided to put everything all together. Everything from the previous link has been deleted. However, I have added more so there are 20 subs2srs decks in total.
