I ordered a couple volumes of manga and the first Harry Potter book from them back in December. One of the volumes was unfortunately out of print or something and resulted in a delayed order while they attempted to get a copy (unfortunately they won't split an order into multiple shipments if this happens).. it didn't work out, but they refunded the cost of the volume and sent my order after a few days. It arrived pretty quickly after that and I'd certainly recommend them and will likely use them again.

I don't even remember offhand what volume it was that caused the delay - I just know it was something old that came up in a "You might like this..." list and I thought I'd give it a try. Oh well.

I always sell off my books after I'm done with them since I hate clutter. All I have up for sale right now is the 国語 textbook from a Japanese elementary school (gr1), 日本語初歩、日本語中級Ｉ、はれときどきぶた, and a pair of J-E and E-J dictionaries though..

Powell's here in Portland, Oregon has a boat load of manga and a large section of Japanese books - both new and used/out of print works. Don't know how well they are represented in their online store though.

Usually they don't write the shipping cost in the confirmation email, because it's determined by the weight of the items. Have you compared the amount written in the mail and the actual sum that was charged to you?
Then again, shipping to the US may be different from that to Europe.

The receipt that came with my order has s&h down as 0. The total is 1950円 (which is exactly the price of the 5 390円 manga books that I purchased. It says this on all the confirmation emails as well as the info stored in my purchase history on the site.

I'm pretty sure you'll find you have been charged for it (usually they pencil the amount on the label on the outside of the box). The receipt with the order doesn't give the shipping cost (because it's packed inside the box before they weigh it). The order history for my orders says "送料 ： 実費請求": they don't record the figure. Check your credit card statement or equivalent which ought to say how much you were charged in total (eg my last order was 7159 yen worth of books and the charge to the card was 8779 yen including shipping).
