Can't say it works even close to as well in Japanese as it does in English, just having a text without kanji automatically makes it a bother to read...

I don't know. I can read just fine. I wonder how someone with good reading skills read it.

It makes my head hurt without the kanji x_x

Though that could also be the 15 hours of reading I've done on my computer today... I really need to get one of those kindles or Sony ebook readers.

To add, I can still read it fast, but definitely a little slower than I do with kanji. Also, the meaning doesn't immediately hit me like it does with a sentence with kanji. I find this problem is fixed if I read it aloud, but that's just 面倒臭い, don't'cha think?

It's certainly readable. However, it's only working by changing the way Japanese is usually written to make it more like English. That is, the order of the symbols of the syllabary are the spelling, with spaces between words so we can easily see the first and last symbol. I wonder if there's a way to do it while keeping it closer to how Japanese is normally written.

Agreed, but the effect would probably be more noticeable if it was written in pure japanese with kanji switched around. Of course, the kana could be switched around as well. That would have been more interesting, to see if that effect is possible in a language without spaces between words.

At first I thought you were posting something that you wanted us to "grade" your Japanese ability, and the first thing I thought of was "damn, not only is there NO kanji, but his spelling sucks too."

Oh wow, I read that entire thing perfectly and I didn't even know the kana were switched around. o.o I thought the same as Asriel, then I went scrolled up again to see what he was talking about, and then I noticed that こんちには みさなん おんげき ですか？ wasn't written correctly. Wow. I didn't even notice that. Haha, that's interesting, it worked pretty well. ^^;

Interesting, I didn't think it would work at all for Japanese, but I can read it too. いかれえて made me stop and think, though.

probably because im a beginner i noticed immediatly that the kana were screwed up. the lack of knowledge letting me see things that others would gloss over.
so this problem does work in Japanese i posted the same kinda thing in english last week. its awesome how the human mind can do things by itself without you realising.
