I'm writing to an ex-colleague in Japan and the fortunes of my favourite baseball team, and am finding it really hard to phrase what I want to say well.

Up until now the Tigers have been very dissapointing haven't they. Kanemoto has played to his usual high standard, and Toritani has played well, but other batters have been disappointing- particularly Mench who has been useless! I also don't think that Mayumi Kantoku's decision-making has been good, in particular when to bring in the relief pitchers. I hope things will improve soon, but this weekend we have already lost two games away to the Baystars!

So frustrating not being able to write this in Japanese, and the Edict dictionary is fairly useless for finding the kind of words that people would use naturally. Anyway like I said if anyone wants to help me translate this into Japanaese I'd be very grateful!

今のところ、タイガースには本当にがっかりさせられますね。金本はいつもの高いレベルでプレイしているし、鳥谷もいいっていうのに、他のバッターはてんでだめですね。特にメンチなんて使い物にならない。それに真弓監督の采配も、特にピッチャーのリリーフですがよくないと思います。早く本調子に戻ってほしいと望んでますが、この週末ですでにベイスターズに二敗も喫してしまいましたね。
