Wow, this is great! How often does a new issue come out? I'm very slow so I'll need to pace myself.

A couple questions I had from pages 1-2:

What's the caption on page one? I think I *kind of* get what it says, but not with enough nuance to actually put it into English.
What is the actual reading of 古美術店（アンティークショップ）?
"何かあればすぐに僕に連絡を！" - I thought Japanese sentences HAD to have a verb? I'm not sure where I learned that piece of info, but would it be safe to disregard?

Hey, that's a good idea about setting up a wiki. I've never done one before so someone else needs to do it. New chapters generally come out once per week.

Anyways, bombpersons and I translated most of the text. Just need a few more lines here and there, and the whole thing also needs to be proofread.

Ah oops, I posted some translation in the mangahelpers thread without seeing this one. It's mostly stuff you've already got though, maybe one or two of the missing lines.

I've seen this type of thing before, I'm not sure but I think the verb is left to context...

How are we supposed to fill in the above translation? Just take a part and translate? Here's some from page 4:

こびじゅつてん, I'd think.

I can't think of any other examples, but leaving off a verb doesn't seem that strange to me. 連絡を seems pretty obvious as to what you're asking for, so it's clear enough without a verb.

I think it should be "[You mean] that one which was on the news today as well?" 今日も and the reference to other cases sounds like the news has been reporting it for a while now, and it was on the news again today.

I think the ～きてたよなぁ sound like he already knew this (he saw him there, etc.), and was just bringing up.

Is the 振り回す here "思いのままに人を動かす"? So in this case, is she saying he's messing her around?

I'm only a beginner so this may be wrong but...

...the missing verb is the verbalising suffix する which turns 連絡 (call) into a verb, lit. "to do call". Just like in English, you use the gramatically incorrect phrase "call me" instead of "do call me" because that's how people speak. So I suspect the auxiliary verb is omitted in casual speech for the sake of convenience & normality.

Looks like the translation is just about complete. I think we need just a few lines from pages 9 and 10, so if anyone could help clarify these lines that'd be great.

Page 9:

Seems like she's saying, "The faster we go the faster we'll solve the case," but I can't find チャッチャ in the dictionary.

I would say "Let's hurry up and go solve the case already!"

Sometimes you'll get a little っ in words, I'm not really sure how to explain it. It a casual (perhaps young person's) way of speaking in an upbeat/tempo, excited way?

So sometimes, if you can't find a word like that, getting rid of the っ and searching might help.

Also, it might be noting that it sounds cuter as saying チャッチャと makes it rhyme with サッサと. She is a little girl after all.

Haibara:　どーでもいいけど、はりきりすぎて羽目外さないように…

Is the last part some sort of saying, meaning something like "don't go over the top" or something like that?

I was thinking of looking up any grammatical expressions I wasn't sure on/wanted some more confirmation on (like だもの/だもん), but while I'm looking stuff up is there any other things people can see from this?

There are still a few grammar points I'm not quite sure of so I'll go through the entire chapter tonight again and write them down.

馬銜を外す（はめをはずす）［＝放す］・羽目を外す
興に乗って度を過ごす。
調子付いて程度を越える。
★「はめ」は「はみ（馬銜）」の転で、「はみ」を外して馬を自由にする意からとも
＜大辞林より＞

So 'take the bit off a horse and letting it go free' seems to be the origin.

Thanks, but then does that mean 馬銜を外す and 羽目を外す are equivalent expressions even though they don't seem to have anything in common except identical pronunciations?

馬銜を外す = let go of the reins (lit. unfasten the bit)
羽目を外す = cut loose, act without restraint

Both mean roughly the same thing.
