Now I'm really interested, what do you use for "person" instead? Wink
I realize that you're probably joking, but a lot of people do pick a specific person to represent 人. I just kept it as "person".
How not to do it Smile.

Worked for me just fine. I also finished it rather quickly doing 100+ a day with high 90%+ retention.

Your little tricks are nice and all, but hardly required. What exactly is wrong with having just "person" as the keyword? You only possibly run into problems if you've turned every other primitive into people too and you need to keep things sorted out.

It's not about mixing with other primitives, but just that "person" is generic and can easily be a participant in other stories, without being a primitive.

Personifying helps make things easier to keep straight: e.g. you only use "Mr. T" in your story if and only if the person radical is in the kanji. It can also help inspire some more memorable stories.

When I was going through RTK I didn't always personify the more generic or abstract keywords, for example I didn't personify 言 for a long time, but much later I started using the suggested "socrates" in some stories and found that I was remembering things more clearly. It makes it easy to do things like "SOCRATES riding a HORSE" like in your avatar, which I found to stick more easily than "SAY on top of a HORSE".

Maybe, but few progress very far or fast without Heisig.
I'm done and have been for a long time.

Mr T for when it's on the side
Kenshiro from fist of the north star for when it's like a 人 Symbol.
