I'm trying to import a spreadsheet to Anki, but the Japanese shows up as ??. Japanese works on everything else on my computer, and I can edit the card and get it to display Japanese, but that kinda ruins the point of importing everything from a spreadsheet if I have to manually change everything.

I have tried changing the fonts of everything the Arial Unicode MS, but no luck with that. Any suggestions?

Encode your file in UTF8. And, you should ask on the Anki forum, because this is not the place for Anki support.

I realize this isn't Anki support, thanks for pointing that out. However, this is a place for Japanese learning resources, and Anki just so happens to be such a resource. The reason I posted my question here is because I was just looking through a thread in which someone had an Anki problem. Many people tried to help that person, and did not attempt to redirect them somewhere else. Ultimately their problem was resolved, and I was hoping the same could be done for me.

Many on this forum use Anki, and so Anki pops up quite frequently here, however (Faburisu) the owner of this forum has requested on several occasions to not post support questions for Anki here. Also (Resolve) the developer of Anki asked that problems are reported via the Anki forum. You'll get help quicker that way.

I understand your point, but Anki questions often tend on the technical side, and the related topics are often bumped in the recent topics list, pushing down other more diverse topics about Japanese learning in general, and those about the RevTK site, around which this forum is initally built.

As for redirecting, vosmiura was just trying to be helpful, because I was going to post this anyway
