Did the 1kyuu grammar book help people with JLPT1? Among friends who've passed JLPT1, and Japanese looking at the book, 1kyuu grammar doesn't seem nearly as useful as 2kyuu grammar.

I'm kind of shifting towards doing it, and not doing it, every other day. I need some pushing either way

I wanted to ask how you use the spreadsheet to study the grammar? I'm not exactly sure what the most effective way would be. I imported the spreadsheet into Anki today, but just trying to read the example sentences doesn't seem to help much.

I'd really appreciate some study method input here.

What's the ISBN of that English version of KM2 that was referenced earlier in the thread (timewastin/mezbup on p. 7)? Specifically I'm wondering if it's a version of the ~対策 or the (KM2) まとめ thingies, because I have the Japanese of the former and English of the latter...

What I've been doing is combination of Comprehension and Cloze Deletion. The sentence is in Kanji so it's a matter of reading it and getting the meaning correct with relation to the grammar. I also cloze delete the syntax portion of the verb/noun/adjective.

Ex (Kana): あんなにスピードをだしたら、じこをおこしかねない。
Meaning: 〜おそれがある • 〜かもしれない　〈悪い結果になる可能性がある時に使う。〉
Syntax: [動-ます形] +

The benefit here are the reviews are fast, since it's recognition. However, you're testing Syntax which I found to be the easiest part to mess up.

Don't forget about http://www.tanos.co.uk/jlpt/ which has English translations/descriptions of the grammar points from these books.

I've got 56 sentences of points that are 2級 according to どんな時どう使う, but not included in the 2級 version of 完全マスター.

@Nukemarine - Ah, didn't realize translations were there! Or rather, I didn't realize the Kanzen Master books were so closely related to the JLPT. Losing interest now. ;p

Is anyone able to invite me to the 1kyuu spreadsheet? The entire 2kyuu deck is seen and active in Anki now, so I am ready to move on. :p I'll help enter a crapload of sentences if it's not completed yet, of course.

I can't remember. I get roughly $800 a month from the Japanese government just for kicks and giggles, and it was a long time ago, so I can't remember.

I finally bought the 1kyuu book, so is there a spreadsheet for the 1kyuu grammar book as well and if so who can me give access to it?

I'm sure the 完全マスター日本語能力試験文法問題対策 document on google docs used to have KM1 and KM2 in the same document, but at some point it was taken out and now its only the KM2 entries...

Edit: I went back through the revisions, and if you just roll back your view of the version to October '09, the sheet contains KM1, KM2, and Unicom 2

If these were split off into separate docs I wasn't invited to them. It might save you some time using these old versions, but I would double check all the entries anyway to be safe.
