Could someone post a link to this book? I want to make sure I'm looking at the right one.

@Jarvik I'm not sure if there is or isn't (or if there was, and its stalled). But since I'm going through and typing up the meanings column anyway, I figure I may as well put them into the community spreadsheet so other people can benefit. As I said though, I'm not typing up the more detailed definition notes, it takes too much time.
EDIT: I'm doing this for the 1kyuu book, to clarify.

I was just down at the Umeda kinokuniya and I saw that there is a 1/2kyuu kanzen master book specifically for katakana vocab now. It's thick too.
What a waste of trees.

I found a level 1/2 Q&A workbook online today. Then I found KM2kyuu, the vietnamese version. Haha. I think i'll just buy it because it looks like the best move to make after KO.

There's also an English version PDF of Kanzen Master 2kyuu around, I used it for my 2kyuu studies. Write me a PM if you want to have it

Is there a link to this project?

What a waste of trees.
on a different note, have you ever noticed when books have the kanji written down, but the katanana reading?
for example, as the reading for 銃 they have ピストル instead of じゅう。 what's the deal with that?

I just finished adding all of the meaning columns to the 1kyuu spreadsheet(except the first 20, when I wasn't doing it) as well as any sentences that were missing from the spreadsheet (which ended up being around 40). I don't think there's anyone actively working on doing that spreadsheet, but at least now it has pretty much all of the sentences (and they are mostly correct) as well as the basic meaning column for anyone who needs it in the future.

can anyone comment on the learning curve/difficulty of going into KM2 straight after finishing KO?
2009-08-29, 6:37 pm
It wasn't too difficult. I encountered new vocab every couple of sentences, but it was definitely much easier than the beginning of KO in this regard. Probably the most difficult part is understanding the Japanese definitions of grammar points, although I found it quite rewarding when I did. I occasionally used jgram if I got stuck with anything though.

You need to pm skinnyneo with a photo of your book.
I don't understand why he/she is not making it clear on the first post...

Wasn't this link posted in this thread already? Cos it links to some spreadsheet of it. Dunno if its the "sacred" one or not. I don't think it is though but i'm pretty sure its all still the same data from the same book.
Relative HTML version found here:

And don't forget about the Kanzen Master link on this orkut page previously linked by another poster:

You need an account for that last one but it's WELL worth it.

That's the sheet I created from the HTML link due the restriction on the spreadsheet on this thread. The one made in this thread could have some extra info (maybe the reading?) missing from my sheet though. You guys should try to pm skinnyneo and take a look.

I've read the rules carefully and I believe user compiled content based entirely on copyrighted material is tolerable in this forum.
It is difficult to draw the line, and the links indeed contain edited copyrighted content. I don't really blame you for being strict about this.

rrrrrray,
What we've done with user generated list from copyrighted sources (KO2001, UBJG, Kanzen Master, Making Out in Japanese, etc) is not to share the list except with those that provide a little proof of ownership. It's not perfect, but it's been generally accepted as tolerable.
Seeing that we're a fairly visible forum in Japanese learning circles, and have been doing copyrighted transcriptions for the last 2 years without a major gripe from owners (exception being the Spanish RTK author I think), we're probably taking the right path.
Lists of Common User sources can freely be posted (iKnow and Tae Kim for example).

Skinnyneo seems to be on holidays or has missed my PM.
Anyone else able to help an old timer out here? Will happliy provide proof of purchase.
To give you more motivation to help me I'll let you know that i've signed up for 2kyuu this december. There are a number of people asking why i left a half decent career/business to study japanese and generally bemoaning it. As I can't really "prove" my japanese ability to them a nice piece of official paper with a certified pass would be nice to rub their noses in

I'll be selling my copy of the book shortly (as well as the 2kyuu reading book), so if anyone wants to get it off me let me know via pm. Due to shipping costs it only makes sense if you're in japan, preferably Nagoya.
Payment by paypal or cash in person.
