That was bizarre. I wondered what happened to all the NOVA rabbits. They became mercenaries.

Yeah this is really bizarre. I guess it is typical Japanese; take a subject, which is already controversial and totally change the perspective. I will be looking forward to it too.

Just checked on Wikipedia - they are still looking for investors, but plan to start airing in "early 2010".

WOW! That was surreal, but beautiful! I'd totally watch that. I agree with HerrPetersen... very Japanese concept. I mean, who else would think of adorable bunnies as unforgiving soldiers? Hahaha Big Grin Can't wait to see more.

Wow thats a bit crazy. Somehow the Japanese voices didn't seem to go with the chars, I am not sure why.

Is it anime? At what point is it anime and which point computer graphics?

Yeah, maybe you are caught on the English concept of Anime meaning "Japanese styled animation." In Japanese, as yukamina pointed out, all animation is called アニメ.

At the same time, I used "anime" in my first (obviously all English) post - perhaps erroneously, though I was just echoing the Youtube page I think. heh...

That's a confusing conversation to have with Japanese people though. Explaining that, in English, we call Japanese animation "anime" but for others, we use "animation" or "cartoons." And we don't call comic books "cartoons," but we do use that word to describe comic strips you find in a newspaper sometimes. Found myself confused trying to explain that more than once. Smile

It also important to remember that flash videos are often called アニメ as well (and they do not always have cartoon characters running around). アニメ is a very broad term.

Anime is short for animation. Anything that is animated can and will be called anime in Japanese. Cartoons are animated. 3D animation is animated. Flash videos are animated.

I'm honestly not sure if this is the most ridiculously stupid, or most incredibly awesome thing I've ever seen.
