Change Kanji Font Greasemonkey Script

#1
Can I just say, if you're using Firefox and you're not using this Greasemonkey script from Mario Huys, you're really missing out.

I am now gloriously reviewing with the much more aesthetically pleasing Meiryo font. You should, too. All those harsh lines make the kanji seem unfriendly after a while Tongue

I chose a bad Kanji to use as an example, but:

After:

You have to go into "my profile" to change the font that's used in review and study.

Edit: Also, I've found Meiryo to act a little strangely on some kanji. Does anyone have a recommendation on a good, free font that is smooth and pleasing to look at, but is also pretty accurate as far as proportions go?

Wow, that looks... really bad.

I love the default fonts on windows, Gothic and Mincho are considered very very good fonts which is why there are several guides how to get those fonts for Linux distros. Extremely easy to read, even when the font is small.

Definitely not. That font always makes me shudder.

If you don't like it, don't use it. Also, I said it was a bad example.

It's also worth noting that I'm using GD++ font smoothing on my PC, which bloats some fonts. I forgot to turn it off, as I usually do when I review, for the screen-caps.

The point is, if you're tired of having a single font that's pointed, you can change it. It doesn't have to be Meiryo, it can be whatever you want it to be. You can even introduce stroke order fonts.

I tried downloading this stroke order font but had problems. I am a novice with computers so those with more knowledge will have no problems:

Yeah, just go to the above site, then download the font (first link). Extract it to your desktop, right click and choose "Install". At least that's how Idid it in vista. Not sure about Linux or Mac. It's pretty useful... saves you a trip to the dictionary to check the stroke order.
