「え?全部好きだよ。一つの好きなところ選べないんだって。」
They want specifics, and they want you to be able to list those specifics off the top of your head at a moment's notice. Otherwise, they don't believe that you really feel that way.
Just one more instance where a woman's vanity trumps her partner's true feelings.
Of course, now that I'm married and we have kids, I just tell her the truth, "I married you for your ass, honey."

Indeed, that answer is one of the worst. It leads to 「そんなの答えじゃないじゃん!」 or a variant.

I thought you were just joking about that.
僕: 「彼女の名前」だから。
彼女: そうだけど・・・
It happens.

There's certainly a fair bit of seriously-written advice around for how to answer it.

Quote:彼女:どうしてあたしを愛してる?-nitpick-
Japanese people don't normally tell their significant other that they love each other. My first Japanese teacher, who had been married for like 30 years at the time, said he had never told his wife that he loved her, ever. I told my last jp girlfriend that I loved her and she was utterly surprised that I'd say such a thing. She was pretty much "さすが外人だなぁ"
Lesson learned, I've never told the current one.
Saying 愛してる can sound really cheap, like a line out of a movie. Actions are supposed to speak louder than words.
