Finally got my results in the mail last night. I just took 2級 for a guaranteed pass since I'm going to be starting job hunting pretty soon.
Total: 367/400 (92%)
Writing/Vocabulary: 90/100
Listening: 85/100
Reading/Grammar: 192/200

3級: 75, 91, 128 -- total 294/400. Better than I expected on listening, but need to spend more time on grammar. Still, a pass is a pass.

I've passed 3 level after lot of alone work. Points are not too impressive (especially half for listening), but the most important is the fact.

I passed 2級.
Writing/vocab: 61/100
Listening: 70/100
Reading/grammar: 200
Total: 275/400 (68.5%)
I'm a bit disappointed with the result. I was expecting over 70% doing past papers. I scored 70 in JLPT 2007, and that test seemed a hell of a lot harder than 2008.
For those that did the past papers, how do you think JLPT2008 compares to the previous years?
