Let's be friends on iKnow

#1
I know that there is the twitter thread for people to befriend each other keep each other going etc. I figured for anyone that has not already done so should definitely do this, but we should probably do the same thing for iKnow as well.

Being able to see each others progress, keep each other accountable is a great motivating factor for me, I hope it will be for others as well.
I have already sent friend requests to a few users on these forums, anyone else who is interested in this, go ahead and post in this thread and add everyone in it starting with me I guess

Dustin_Calgary just like here ^^

I use the same name on there too: Cracky. Health issues are kind of holding up my studying but I should be back into the swing of it soon.

Sure, anyone that wants to can add me. Username is the same there: wccrawford

Please note that you're from this forum in the friend request. I often reject people if they add me random and aren't fluent in Japanese.

I go by the name of "hknamida", but I rarely visit iKnow since I've ripped the sentences to Anki. Add me if you wish, but know that it may take some time before I notice.

Just like wccrawford, I would like you to identify yourself as a RevTK member.

(In other words: "I... I guess we can be friends, if you insist... but it's not like I want to. <<;")

lol I didn't mean it like that. I just don't like it when people add me for no reason. Being on this forum is a reason, so that's fine. Honestly, I like tracking the progress of people on here. And people that message me before adding me on iKnow, I add them, too. It's just the 'complete stranger' thing that bothers me.

How do you type づ in the courses section? I just started and can't complete a lesson because typing zu gets me ず. I have kana layout keyboard and have never tried typing out in romaji before like what seems to be required on iknow.

I think 'du' works, too.

And yes, I requested that they implement touch-typing so a kana keyboard could be used and they said nobody actually uses that, so they weren't going to implement it.

It's so frustrating in iknow to be stumped because of the input method. I especially hate it if it is a katakana "engrish" word. I was stuck on ミーティング for a while. ”thi" works for the "ティ”。For the chisai letters such as the little っ or ィ you can type "xtsu" or "xi" This is on a mac, though I think Windows has a similar feature.
