I'm sorry, but it still won't work for me. I copied one of the lines from the bat file.

C:\Program Files\mp3splt\mp3splt.exe -q -o Sore_01_00.11.02-00.13.36.mp3 -d C:\Program Files\Subs2SRS\Sore\Media\Sore_01_Audio "C:\Program Files\Subs2SRS\Sore\TempAudio\01 - Sore.mp3" 00.11.02 00.13.36

Put quotes around anything with "Program Files".

So try using:

""C:\Program Files\mp3splt\mp3splt.exe" -q -o Sore_{0}_{1:00.}.{2:00.}.{3:00.}-{4:00.}.{5:00.}.{6:00.}.mp3 -d "C:\Program Files\Subs2SRS\Sore\Media\Sore_{0}_Audio" "C:\Program Files\Subs2SRS\Sore\TempAudio\{0} - Sore.mp3" {1:00.}.{2:00.}.{3:00.} {4:00.}.{5:00.}.{6:00.}" $batch_num $s_min_t $s_sec $s_hsec $e_min_t $e_sec $e_hsec

It seems to me that the English readings will come from the English subtitles file you choose.

Right.

One card for each line of dialog. Each card contains 5 pieces of information:

1) Japanese text (taken from the Japanese subtitle file)
2) English translation (taken from the English "fansub" subtitle file)
3) Audio clip (via Mp3splt)
4) Snapshot (via Avs2avi & AviSynth)
5) Japanese reading (via kakasi)

If you already have the audio clip, why do you need the kakasi-generated reading?

Anyway, this sounds awesome.

You don't really need it. Just a nice extra I guess.

This is pretty freaky. I had an idea last night about generating Anki facts by parsing a subtitled movie. Then I read this thread.

Rather than animes, television programmes with people speaking normally (rather than acting out a script) would be hugely valuable.

Clearly this whole process could be put into an open source app that would automate everything. An interesting challenge...

The only work we really have to do now, for some things, is to set times. Subtitle files aren't always set perfectly to where the dialogue begins and ends (which can result in cut-off audio).

Timing is generally pretty accurate, though I agree sometimes it gets messed up. Also, what about subs where there's layers of subtitles due to multiple conversations at once, how's that work--repeated audio files?

A graphical front-end for this process would be nice. ;p

Fantastic post, great file. I love this movie, and probably already have many of the lines memorized, so this will take me over the top. I'll try your utility soon on other files. You're simply awesome.

So, about how long does the process take altogether?

The next question is, where can I get more subtitles? The fantastic collection of anime subs that cb4960 linked to is one place but what else is there if you want Japanese subs? I reckon you'll probably find quite a lot of anime and dorama stuff but ripping from your favourite DVDs sounds tricky.

Anyone got any other good links?

Someone posted this link here before:

Then there's d-addicts for jdoramas, but I guess that's obvious.

Thanks nest0r, looks like a good collection. (I remember seeing it before)

If there are any others out there then please contribute!

Wow this is amazing.
Would you (or other people using your program) be so kind as to share other decks you've done so we don't repeat work?

I'll try doing this for a few drama if I get the time later this week

I agree. It's funny that this went unnoticed for more than one month!

Since the AJATT forum is down, does anyone have a dump/list of files/links that were posted there in various sections. ^_^

yeah I downlaoded it but I didn't finish going through it. there's a lot (not a lot a lot but) to delete (for me anyways)

So if anyone else feels like me this is the anki file after I went through and deleted. ( I reached like halfway i think?)

well after deleting 'em.
Young cards: 641 (51.32%)
Unseen cards: 608 (48.68%)

it has 1249

if anyone finishes going through and deleting "useless" lines ( don't want to sound harash, but you know everyday lines that i know and do not need to see it anki) please post file, would save me trouble

Maybe it'd be faster if you just deleted everything with less than 5 characters or something.

Just started sentences so i'm quite new to this.

Will you guys just import this into your current deck? Or will you use this as a stand alone deck?

I have tried to import this into a 'test' deck as I did'nt want to mess up my current deck but no image comes up and the audio doesn't work?

I couldn't find the answers to my problems on the Anki FAQs. Any thoughts?

Thanks for sharing a fantastic deck though!

You have to move the picture and image files from toki_wo_kakeru_shoujo.media into test.media
