This is a short animation with kana on YouTube.

こげぱん (kogepan) episode 1

I translated the kana in kanji equivalents. It was fun and I learned some expressions like 寝返り ( ねがえり ) "turning over while sleeping in bed" and 不貞寝 ( ふてね
) "staying in bed out of spite".

Perhaps someone else wants to have a go at, I could use some corrections, these phrases gave me trouble :

苦いし固い。。。
"bitter (and on top of that...), stubborn..."
I went for "stubborn" but I'm not sure, [kana]takai[/kana] could be also written as 堅い (katai), and 難い (katai). I think 難い means "hard" in the sense of difficult, so it doens't sound right in the sentence.

何事も投げやり
"and everything he throws away" ?
I didn't find [kana]nanigotomo[/kana] as a whole word, so I guess [kana]mo[/kana] is the particle. I don't understand [kana]yari[/kana] here, I guess it's from やる ?

パンにもいろいろあるらしい。。。
I have difficult to translate that one. Is "にも" a whole particle? It 's not listed in the dictionary of basic japanese grammar. I don't know how to read it as に and も..

やけをおこす。
自棄を起こす。
The sub says "peels the burnt parts" but according to EDICT "burnt/scald" is 火傷【やけど】, and I don't find "peel" with this kana, so I would say it means "raises desperation".. unless やけ is a shortened version of やけど ?

Do you read も as "also quick in resignation" ?
... why does the sub say "fast forgiving"?

たまにねっころがる
Is [kana]tama[/kana] short for 頭 or does it mean "spirit"? がる -> ".... feel" or short for "がある" ?

I think I know the grammar for that. It's two separate particles. Basically, you read the the sentence as usual, but add "...,too" because of も.

I'm not good at explaining, but this is how Genki explains it:
も marks an item on the list of things or people that have something in common. Observe that も replaces は, が and を. Other particles are generally used together with も.

メアリーさんはくつを買いました。Mary bought shoes.
メアリーさんはかばんも買いました。Mary bought a bag, too.

私はせんしゅう京都に行きました。I went to Kyoto last week.
大阪にも行きました。I went to Osaka, too.

I guess it means "It seems there are various things in bread too..." but I can't make sense of it in the context of the animation.

Great excercise. こげパンがすきだ！It's one of my favourite anime, and Ive seen dozens of anime series. The narrator's voice is wonderful as well. At some point something happened (can't remember what) that was so moving that it actually made me cry. I thought, pull youself together man, it's an anime about baked goods!!

Rikaichan gives me 灼ける or 焼ける as possibilities, but I'm not sure what it means grammatically to leave off the る.

It will be 焼けをおこす. A verb with just the stem (i.e. dropping the -ます) becomes a noun, which it must be, as it is marked as the object of the verb おこす. Compare 日焼け, "sunburn". So in this case 焼け must be "the burned parts". おこす means to cause, or to raise (to wake - "raise from bed"). Could it be this latter meaning (raise) that was intended? Can't be "cause", can it?

It also occured to me that 焼 is used because the burning is caused by cooking and 焼く is the word used for "grill", "bake", etc. in cooking.
