I'm on my second day after having memorized the kanji from chapters 1 and 2, thus 34 kanjis. I've been working with Anki but just checked out this site. Which is better overall?
Thanks, Eric

brianobush Wrote:I use both Anki and RvTK. My daily ritual is the following:That's almost exactly my routine. I do my Anki reviews around 6:30 in the morning, then I have another go at this site about 4 in the afternoon. With Anki, I have a pre-made deck shuffling out 10 new cards a day. Here, I'm staying a little bit ahead of Anki -- right now I'm about 50 or 60 cards ahead. So the overlap is not perfect, which is in fact, perfect. It also means I can take a day or two off here once in a while and not worry about having to adjust my Anki rate.
- 16-18 new kanji, pick stories for those characters, write them up in a journal. Source RvTK for stories.
- update RvTK with new added Kanji
- review new/expired cards in Anki
(sleep)
- Test new cards in RvTK
- Review expired cards in RvTK
- Add new cards that were tested earlier in RvTK to Anki
Both are great and I feel that they complement each other quite nicely. I also feel that by testing twice (morning/evening) I can see how well I really recall the story attached to the character.
