A Japanese guide to Japanese grammar

#1
Hello everyone,

so I found this:

http://www.guidetojapanese.org/

I'm sure someone knows it and could tell me whether this is a good guide or not.

I've started reading it but being a beginner, I have no idea if it's a good resource.

Maybe someone advanced could take a quick look at it and tell me what he thinks?

That would be great!

Thanks,
Marcel

That site tends to be referred to here as "Tae Kim's guide" and it's pretty highly regarded. If you want something more specific, you might try doing a forum search for "Tae Kim" to see what people have to say about it.

It's pretty much considered the best source for Japanese grammar online in English. It covers pretty much every part of basic Japanese grammar without becoming too long. It also holds a decent amount of example sentences AND it uses no romaji!

Overall, it's a great resource, especially for people who do not want to buy textbooks.

If you mine the whole guide for sentances you can a very good grasp on basic grammer, and pretty much everything else can be worked out for your self.

So yeah, a very good resource and I highly recommend it
