I'm one of those guys who not only review from 3 computers, I review from several OSes on those computers. All of them have Firefox. All of them have Greasemonkey. Too bad the substitute keywords are saved locally! Question is of course, where!

I want my substitute keywords on windows to be used in my Ubuntu install as well, I guess I need some form of file and transfer to some folder... which file, which folder?

The keywords are stored at a file called prefs.js.

I reccomend you to use a portable Firefox from a pendrive, that way all your extensions, bookmarks, preferences and whatnot will be always with you wherever you go.

You can even copy your local Firefox settings:

Nah I really don't have any portable medium to do that with except my iPod and I'm not too fond of putting stuff on it other than songs.

After "googling" the file (by tipying "prefs.js site:http://forum.koohii.com/") I found the answer here (I like Google's results page than the forum's search results page).

Pendrives are so unexpensive nowadays that unless you live in some really poor country there is no reason to not buying one, specially given that it would be really useful in your case.

Thanks for pointing it out. I had read about portable apps years ago and forgotten completely about it because I didn't have much need. But it's perfect for this site when you have modified keywords and need to be able to review on the road.

I installed Firefox, copied over my profile settings and it works great, including modified keywords on this site.
