Minor complaint

I mean, to me it's not "destroying my life" to stop posting. It's just...it really is in English. And I want to get really good at Japanese. That really is a genuine reason.
Most of the threads on this forum are not about the RTK system. They are mostly about other resources dealing with the Japanese language. Most of the online sites I have in my bookmarks are from recomendations by other users in this forum. Many users here are very knowledgable with computers and I have picked up useful tips here and there. Making long thought out posts on non-Japanese language topics might hurt in your immersion process but asking questions now and then on areas that are confusing to you will not.

Just one comment from my point of view (which may be shared by someone else in my position):
The only reason why I still visit this non-Japanese forum is that it has proven to be a useful Japanese-learning resource. I come here to find, share and develop ideas and tips to improve a learner's Japanese ability. Sincerely, I'm not interested in people's opinions about completely unrelated things. Not in English, at least.
Am I the only one?

To be fair, there is only one out of the sevent most recent topics at the top of the page that is the "religion debate" thread. It IS annoying that it gets bumped up frequently, I'll admit. I am not aware right now of a feature in PunBB to remove specific topics from the most recent list.
